Description

VINIFICATION

We collect manually that once pressed and de-stemmed, we place in steel tanks. Here the must macerates and ferments on the skins for about 20 days, while carrying out malolactic fermentation. Racking involves aging in French oak barrels for 18 months. The assembly with Schioppettino di Prepotto, also aged for 24 months, takes place in steel tanks for a period of about 3 months.
We usually bottle the wine in mid-December, and then give it a further period of aging of 4/6 months.

ORGANOLEPTIC ASPECTS

Intense ruby red color with marked purple veins, this wine has to the nose the superb nobility of Merlot, combined with the characteristic spiciness of Schioppettino di Prepotto. The fruity bouquet of currant and raspberry, pleasantly meets pepper and cinnamon, with small hints of licorice. In the mouth it is warm and powerful, quite savory, but with soft and elegant tannins. The finish is dry and harmonious, with nice persistence.
