The soil of Prepotto is characterized by the presence of Ponca, a formation composed of marl and sandstone that is one of the distinctive elements of the Colli Orientali del Friuli.<\/p>\n

This type of soil promotes a natural water balance in the vines: the sandstone allows for effective drainage of excess water, while the marl retains the necessary moisture during drier periods. The roots are thus encouraged to grow deeper, coming into contact with the bedrock and contributing to the balanced growth of the plant. This condition naturally limits vigor, favoring limited production and more complete ripening of the grapes.<\/p>\n

Our vineyards are located almost entirely in the municipality of Prepotto, in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, and are distributed across different exposures and altitudes, a choice that allows us to make the most of each variety according to the characteristics of each site.
\nThis diversity allows us to obtain grapes with different profiles, which contribute to the complexity and balance of the wines.<\/p>\n

The territory is characterized by a microclimate favorable to quality viticulture: constant natural ventilation promotes healthy grapes, while the hilly terrain allows for significant temperature variations between day and night during ripening, which is essential for preserving freshness and aromatic intensity.<\/p>\n
